Vintage Bros Boat Sales is excited to offer this beautiful 1953 Chris Craft U-18! U-18-1118 is one of 1186 produced from 1947 to 1954. These boats are known for their comfortable ride and 'big boat' feel for there size. The seller is a long term owner who has been a good steward of this vessel.

At Vintage Bros we are antique and classic boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We love playing match-maker between buyers and sellers and would love owning any of the boats we sell!

HULL

The hull above the waterline has been refastened with planks replaced as necessary. The boat has a replacement bottom done by a prior owner/hobbiest. In the last few years the boat has been treated to 8 coats of varnish and the boat presents beautifully.

INTERIOR

The interior was replaced at some point in its history and shows beautifully. No rips, tears, or blemishes are easily detected. The steering wheel has been redone, and the gauges are very attractive and in excellent condition.

MECHANICAL

The engine in this boat is a 6 cylinder Hercules KLC factory rated at 120 hp. In my opinion, this engine is perfectly suited for this hull. It has plenty of power to cruise and go skiing. The engine has been rebuilt, with only 50 hours of use since the rebuild. The generator has been updated to 12v, and the carburetor has been rebuilt as well. Additionally, the gas tank was steamed, new bilge pumps installed and a new bilge blower was installed. The trailer is a single axle Shore Lander with brakes.

OVERALL

This boat is a rare treat. Nice post-war 18' Chris Craft Sportsmans are getting harder to find. This one is simply stunning! In the water recently, she won't disappoint!!! Call Jim at 513 678 9379.
