Vintage Bros is proud to present this very cool project boat! Hull # R-16-748 is the 748th boat of 1040 produced in the series from 1946 to 1949.

These boats were known to be very nimble in the water. Lightweight and well-powered they were considered fast in their day. This hull is a blast in the water!

At Vintage Bros we are antique and classic boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second.  We love putting buyers and sellers together and would love to own any one of the boats we sell.

HULL

Most of the post-war, painted-hull Chris Crafts were made of mostly Spanish Cedar (decks and transoms were almost always mahogany) due to shortages of good Philippine mahogany. This boat is a project so plan on a new bottom and possibility frames. Hull sides and decks look pretty solid.

MECHANICAL

This boat is powered by a 'K' series 95hp Hercules flathead 6 cylinder engine. This power plant was the cornerstone of the Chris Craft fleet with some 300,000 produced from 1937-1963. At this time it is unknown whether or not it has been rebuilt.

OVERALL

This is a fun little project! It is believed the hardware is complete except for the windshield. There are a few boxes to look through to confirm. These boats are getting harder to find in good restorable condition. Please call Jim at 513 678 9379.
