Vintage Bros Boat Sales is excited to offer this gorgeous 1947 Chris Craft Special Runabout for sale. Hull # R-16-760 is one of 1040 built during the 1946 to 1949 production run.

The value of this boat is in the useability; it's turnkey, on a nice single axle trailer with a cover. No soak up required.

At Vintage Bros we are antique and classic boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We love pairing up buyer's and seller's in boats we too would love to own.

Hull

The boat was cosmeticly restored in 2017 with all new paint and varnish at that time. Later in 2019 a new 3M 5200 bottom was professionally installed. In 2020 the decks were wooded, restained with many coast of varnish applied. All work was done by The Wooden Boat Shop and is gorgeous: definitely professional grade. The hardware shows bright and looks fantastic.

Interior

The bright red interior is beautiful and has a stunning effect against the white hullsides and varnished deck. The steering wheel is in great shape and all the gauge faces are clear, with no crazing, and are easy to read. The floor was replaced when the bottom was done in 2019. The interior mahogany is arguably the best part of the boat! WOW!!

Mechanical

The boat is powered by a 95 hp Hercules 'K' seried engine. It definitely makes this light little boat get up and go!! It has electronic ignition and purrs like a kitten in all RPM ranges. You will be the toast of the dock with the music this motor makes! The boat sits on a single axle trailer with bunks custom made to support the hull.
