Vintage Bros Boat Sales is delighted to offer for sale this outstanding prewar runabout. This boat is hull number 52419. It is the 420th boat produced in a total run of 671 from 1939 to 1941.

It needs some minor wood repair/replacement but would be an outstanding value for the hobbyist willing to invest a little elbow grease in an easy project.

Hull

According to the seller the bottom was restored and sealed in 2008/2009. Around that same time, it was stained and varnished. Currently the finish is a little tired and could use a coat or two of varnish. It has some cracking on the gunnels at the forward sweep (see pictures). This is easily repaired with a dutchman or full replacement plank

Interior

The interior is in good usable condition and looks great but has some splitting at the corners. The gauges are clear and bright, and the steering wheel shows well also.

Mechanical

This vessel is powered by the venerable 4 cylinder Hercules 'B'. The seller says the motor runs great! It purrs like a kitten and runs smooth and strong. It’s being sold with a single axle trailer.

Overview

This is a great little boat for the first-time hobbyists who has woodworking skills. It needs a few things cosmetically but is a great value because the major stuff is done. It’s ready to go in the water to be enjoyed. Please call Jim at 513 678 9379.
