Vintage Bros Boat Sales is proud to offer this beautiful pre-war Chris Craft project! Folks, she's close to perfect as a project because she is complete and relatively untouched. Restoration shops and hobbiests understand that a boat without a 'bunch of hands in it' over time means the restoration is easier and often less costly, to complete.

The value here is 1.) It's a pre-war boat, and these are getting harder and harder to find in unmolested condition. 2.) The sedan top was an option on the 22' Deluxe Utility in 1940, so it's quite rare: 386 22' Deluxe Utilities were produced that year and not many were ordered with the sedan top.

At Vintage Bros we are antique and classic boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We love bringing buyers and sellers together and would love to own any of the boats we sell.

HULL

This boat has its original bottom, hullsides, and top as best as can be determined. Like all original 80 + year old boats, plan on replacing the bottom. Hull side planks are in decent condition. The next owner will need to decide what may need replacement.

INTERIOR

The interior looks fairly original, but expect to replace it. Not as much fabric as wood in these models. The interior covering boards were an option and look nice. The boat has the original blue gauges and three spoke bake-lite steering wheel.

MECHANICAL

This boat is powered by a 'K' series Hercules flat-head 6 cylinder engine.  It's believed to be original to the boat. Seller said it turns over but hasn't been run in many, many years. The trailer is a Load Master dual-axle with brakes. It was made for the boat and has had very minimal usage.

OVERALL

Pre-war Chris Crafts, this original and unmolested, are getting harder and harder to find. This may be the nicest one in the country available in unrestored condition.  Call Jim at 513 678 9379.

  • Vintage Bros Boat Sales always recommends that any prospective purchaser either inspect the boat themselves or hire a third-party inspector to examine the boat as a contingency of purchase. Once these things are completed to the buyer's satisfaction the sale becomes final. It is the buyers right  to waive all inspections. If a buyer choose to go this route they bare full responsibility for the choice made regarding the condition of the boat.

  • Vintage Bros. Boat Sales  is happy to help in any prospective purchaser coordinate shipping. However, shipping is ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser not only in coordination but in payment of the service.
