Vintage Bros Boat Sales is excited to offer for sale this 1985 Century Cardel. For those in the know, this is the ultimate family boat that maintains a vintage ascetic. Factory V-drive in a traditional deep V fiberglass hull: great ride and great performance. It a family fun machine! Actually it's roomy enough to go boating with the whole neighborhood!
Nice Cardel V-Drives are getting harder and harder to find. The value in this boat is in the fact that it's mechanically sound, perhaps requiring a little elbow grease to look fantastic.
At Vintage Bros we a classic and antique boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We love what we do which is helping buyer's buy and seller's sell vintage boats.
This is one of the most iconic hull designs in classic boating. Whether a V-Drive Cardel, a straight drive Coronado, or a stern drive Raven, this hull design did everything well. This particular boat could use a good buffing but the seller expects the gelcoat to be able to be brought back with some elbow grease.
The interior looks to be original to the boat. The seller said he found two small rips one in back seat and one on the motor cover. He also said with some effort it should clean uo quite nicely. The gauges in the dash are clear and crisp and the steering wheel is mid 80's cool!
The boat is powered by a Mercruiser/GM 454 rated at 350 hp. Recently it was professionally serviced with the following being done:
- Rebuilt carburetor
- Rebuilt water pump
- Replaced fuel filter
- Replaced batteries
- Aligned Engine
- Adjusted timing
- Confirmed cutlass bearing in good condition
- Adjusted timing
- Compression was checked and is good
- Took out for an extended water test
The boat comes with a dual axle roadworthy trailer.
Diamond in the ruff. This boat is a great find for anyone willing to do a few cosmetic improvements. One could build equity very quickly. Please call Jim at 513 678 9379.
