Vintage Bros boat sales is extremely excited and proud to offer this gorgeous iconic Chris-Craft for sale. 1 of 55 built and offered only in 1955, this particular Cobra is powered by the iconic 331 ci Cal Connell Cadillac engine producing 285 horsepower. It's one of only a handful produced with that motor.
The value of this vessel is tied to it's extreme rarity. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this craft as they don't come on the market often in this condition.
At Vintage Bros we love what we do. We are enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. It's a dream come true to be able to sell boats that we too would love to own.
The boat was restored a few years back and no expense was spared in its restoration. BR-21-044 has a replacement no soak 3M 5200 bottom with new frames and bottom planking. Also the deck and hull sides are new mahogany as well. The planking on the boat is highly figured and looks like floating furniture.
The interior is a perfect replica of the original gold, cream, and black alligator that it had when it left the factory. The steering wheel is free of any nicks or imperfections. The gauges were fully restored and are clear and easy to read. The iconic Cobra fin was reconditioned and painted in the original factory gold.
What an incon!! The Cal Conell Cadillac! 331 cubic inch displacement, dual 4 barrel carburetors and 285 hp. WOW!! This engine is fully rebuilt. What a power plant! It comes with a dual axle trailer that was built for the boat that tows well.
It's humbling to be associated with such a wonderful piece of boating history. No disappointments here. If you want to own what's arguably the nice 21' Cobra in the county please call Jim at 513 678 9379.
