Vintage Bros Boat Sales is excited to offer this beautifully restored 1954 22' Sportsman.  With a total production of 2082 units from 1946 - 1954 this boat, hull # U 22 1972 is one of the last of this model produced.

The value of this boat is in the care this vessel has recieved over the years. It was a 'one family owned' boat for approximately 60 years!

At Vintage Bros we are enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We would love to own each and every boat we sell, but we enjoy equally pairing up buyers and sellers in a hobby we love.

HULL

The care this boat has recieved is impressive. New professionaly installed bottom in 2017 to include all frames, intermediate frames and chines. Any oil soaked or questionable wood was replaced. 4mm marine grade plywood was used as the innerliner with 1/2 inch planking serving as the outer planking with everything bedded in 3M 5200. Last varnish was 2 years ago. The wood in this boat is beautiful with the grain showing clear and crisp.

INTERIOR

The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears. Original seat cushions (6) are in good condition. The seat backs are newer and match closely. The marmoleum floor is new (done when the bottom was completed) and looks as it did when it left the factory.

MECHANICAL

The 'M' series engine runs well and has good oil pressure. Some maintenance records are available. A fuel/water separator was recently added. The trailer is a 2019 dual-axle that was made for this boat and it loads and tows like a dream.

OVERALL

What a find! Nice U-22's are becoming  increasingly difficult to find at a reasonable price. The condition of this boat is impressive. She is priced right and is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come. Please call Jim at 513 678 9379.
