Ladies and gentlemen Vintage Bros Boat Sales is excited to offer for sale this beautiful turn key classic. It's a very well maintained original boat that has been pampered it's whole life.

The value in this boat is that it's super original and is also turn-key. Its ready to go in the water to be enjoyed.

At Vintage Bros we love what we do. We bring buyers and sellers together trading boats we would love to own ourselves! This one is certainly no exception.

Hull U 22 1177 is a cedar sided, painted hull boat. World War II destroyed much of the known phillipean mahogany forests that Chris Craft relied on for materials to manufacture boats. Their solution was to use spanish cedar which behaved like phillipean in the manufacturing process. Unfortunately spanish cedar doesn't take stain and varnish as well as phillipean mahogany so Chris Craft decided to paint hull sides of the models that used this material. This particular boat has a professionaly installed cold-molded, no-soak bottom in 2020. So it can go in the water dry.

The interior of this boat is replicated in the standard blue color as original. It's soft to the touch with no apparent rips or tears. This boat features the optional and desirable 3/4 seat. Many have been added to these boats over the years but this one is original from the factory. The gauges are fresh in appearance with the gauge faces clear and easy to read.

The boat is powered by an 'M' series Hercules flat-head 6 cylinder producing 130 hp. This is the original motor to the boat which is rare because most of the U-22's in the model year left the factory with the Chrysler engine. Updates include: new starter, voltage regulator, and wiring harness. Also it has a rebuilt generator as well as a electronic ignition. The trailer is a road worthy dual-axle with brakes.

This boat is ready to go! Long term owner who has cared for the boat for many years. Call Jim at 513 678 9379.
