Vintage Bros Boat Sales is very proud to offer this gorgeous 1948 22' Chris Craft Sportsman for sale. Hull #U-22-579 is a stunning example of the mark.

The value in this vessel is that its turn key. It has been beautifully restored to an extremely high level and is waiting for a new owner.

At Vintage Bros we are antique and classic boat enthusiasts first and boat brokers second. We love putting buyers and sellers together on boats we too would love to own.

Hull

The hull on this boat has been redone in the monocoque style. The original planking was removed, the framework was skinned with marine plywood and then replanked with phillipine mahogany. The plank seams are tight and the grain of the wood shows through beautifully. The  bottom has the same construction treatment but with 1/4" marine plywood planked with 1/2" in mahogany.  This thing is a tank!!!!  Colored in original post-war Chris Craft red-brown stain, with many coats of varnish, it is something to see!

Interior

The interior is new. It's done in the same blue color as so many U-22's in the day. Very authentic. The steering wheel is in great condition and the guages show clear and easy to read. The floor is done in the original style blue marmoleum. The appearance is that of a showroom specimen.

Mechanical

The boat is powered by an 'MBL'. It's been rebuilt and runs like a swiss clock. It makes good power through all the rpm ranges. No disappointments here!! Its a runner! The trailer is a road worthy dual axle that's ready to take you on any long or short journey.

Overview

This is a classic that is ready to win at the boat show and perform on the water. Arguably the nicest one available at this price. It has been enjoyed this season and is available for the discriminating buyer. Call Jim at 513 678 9379 it won't last.
